Split longan logs from the orchards of northern Thailand, air-dried and cut to a working length. A clean flame with a mild fruitwood aroma — used on its own in a wood-fired oven, or alongside charcoal to add flavour.

Container loading

• 20FT container: approx. 11 tons — 550 sacks, loose loaded
• 40FT container: approx. 20 tons — 1,000 sacks, loose loaded. Palletised loads more.

Split firewood is bulky, so the container fills before it reaches its weight limit and freight becomes a large share of your landed cost. A 40FT is the better economics for almost every destination. Ask for a CIF price rather than FOB so you are looking at the number you actually pay.

Packed in mesh, stacked on pallets

Firewood is packed in 20 kg open-weave mesh sacks and stacked on pallets. This matters more than it sounds: an open mesh lets the wood keep breathing through two or three weeks at sea, so it arrives dry instead of sweating inside a sealed bag. Palletised stacks also come off the container on a forklift rather than by hand.

An honest note on moisture. Kiln-dried firewood is normally below 20% moisture. This wood is air-dried at 20–30%, which suits a hot pizza oven and a smoker but takes slightly longer to reach full flame from cold. If your oven requires below 20%, tell us and we will quote a kiln-dried batch separately.

Why buy smoking wood from a charcoal factory

Most buyers take this wood alongside a charcoal order, in the same container. Mixed loading is normal for us — you can put charcoal and firewood in one 20FT or 40FT and pay one freight bill.

Yes. That is how most of our wood ships. One container, one freight bill, one set of documents.

Do you supply chips and chunks as well as logs?

Longan is also available as chunks and chips for smokers. Tell us the format and quantity you need.
